So here is my short story. I did set payment for my AMEX BLUE card directly from my checking bank account. I haven't used that card for months. This time decided to pay for my iPHONE with it. Well, in meantime my checking account was changed due to fraud. I did forget to update it on my EMEX on line account.
The payment got process with my old checking account - OF COURSE it was rejected. In less than 24 hrs from payment I contacted my BANK and AMEX customer service about the problem. All told me to wait and see what happen. Well after the payment was rejected I got PENALTY fee from AMEX ($38) for invalid checking account. That day when I called them, they got all my new info about checking account so it is in file and they can withdraw all the money form that. It was done. Next I called them to complain about that $38 fee. I said, I haven't waited for U to send me notice. I wanted U to know as soon as I discovered about the problem. I have never been late with payment.. always try pay in full.. PERFECT CUSTOMER who doesn't abuse his credit cards.. the lady told me that she will put request about waving that fee.. IT WAS REJECTED - guess what.. THE FRIKIN COMPUTER SYSTEM REJECTED.. not a human person.. I called second time and the same.. after all that they LOST CUSTOMER... I will never get AMEX again.. and I make sure everyone I know will do the same.. THis is BShi** that after so many years I was treated like this.. They prefer to loose customer instead give me one time chance to wave that damn fee.. If I would be the bad person I would never try call them in less than 24 hrs to give them notice and try fix the problem.. now I have to pay $38 penalty fee.. I HATE AMEX! NEVER AGAIN!!
