I have read countless complaints about American Express concerning their raising interest rates from 10% to nearly 15% despite no increase in the federal rate (the cost for AMEX to borrow). Something laughable was on their website. It said that JD Powers & Associates ranked American Express as "highest in customer satisfaction three years in a row".
With sooo many complaints about American Express out there, I had to write to JD Powers & Associates and ask them if this was a paid award or was there any actual market research done behind it? I would encourage all who read this to make sure JD Powers & Associates ranks American Express where it should be, which is at the bottom. Please go to their website or email them (address below) and let them know you think their top ranking of them is nothing but a joke. Their email is information@jdpa.com. Is there any satisfied AMEX customer out there? Hello? Are you out there? If you are satisfied, let someone know, you are quite rare.
