American Express And Delta Sky Miles Delta Skymiles American Express Ripping Off Consumers Internet

My husband and I had a Line-of-Credit with American Express Delta Sky Miles. Due tot he econonly, we ran up a large balance. Last year AMEX raised our interest rate from 9% to 30% (we never even made a late payment). We decided to pay it off and closed the account so we could not use it. I called the company and asked for a break in the interest and/or payments in an effort get it paid off, only to be told "no". Last month we finally made what we thought we be out last payment (a very large payment too and two weeks before the due date) only to receive a statement this month stating that we still owed $95 in accrued interest! I called AMEX and asked for them to write-off the interest since we had been so good about paying on the account and was told "no" that we owed it. I wonder how we will ever get this account paid off since interest accrues daily? What a rip-off they are doing to the consumers! Do use American Express ever - they do not care about the consumer!
