I got an AE card through Costco a couple of years ago. We always pay our monthly balance in full and on time. (They probably hate that.) Anyway, I had to go to Mexico on business and figured AE would be the best card to take in case I needed money. Turns out they will only let me get a $200 advance. What's worse, there are VERY FEW ATM's that even take it. They also refused to raise my limit above 1000 even though I have a 720 credit rating and make six figures. WTF???? It's no longer "used everywhere" and for some reason they won't raise my limit to even make it useable on trips! I'm getting rid of it.
