No Help - Gift Card

I had purchased a $100 gift card from Walmart. However, when I went to use it I had no money on it, after paying 105.94 for the card. I went back to Walmart the same day of purchase. They would not refund my money even with a receipt, stating that the card belonged to American Express and I would have to call them.

After a long discussion with the manager of the store, she called American Express and explained the situation. No Help was given to her. I faxed over my receipt, ID, the packaging and a copy of the gift card to American Express. Ten days went by after many phone calls. No Help from any of the employees. After 12 days, I spoke with the supervisor. She stated she would help me and call me back within a half hour. Never called back. 13 days now no calls back. I will never purchase another card from that company. A very expensive lesson learned. DO NOT purchase these cards. I was told they are bogus half of the time. I will keep calling, probably with no results.
